MAY...

A "supermoon" is the coincidence of a full moon (or a new moon) with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, or perigee, leading to the technical name for a supermoon of the perigee-syzygy of the Earth-Moon-Sun system. The association of the Moon with both oceanic and crustal tides has led to claims that the supermoon phenomenon may be associated with increased risk of events such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. However, the evidence of such a link is widely held to be unconvincing.

Day excursion with Harry...grandfather of the bride

Stumbled across this 3D picture whilst searching for other files...posted it because it's one of the better images I have created.

My mother and my grandchildren taking the scenic route home to Kuranda.

Great grandmother Bertha Van Veluwen...matriarch of the clan.

IT was a rare glimpse of a rare collection. Yesterday Moto Australia opened its doors to the public to give people the chance to get up close to its collection of valuable motorcycles and memorabilia as part of the weekend's Red Shield Appeal.
"We were flat out all day," Moto Australia collection owner Ian Hopkins said yesterday.
"The amount of people who came, you couldn’t move, and there were all sorts of people of all ages."
He estimates about 1200 came through the doors, and more than $10,000 was raised.
The head of the Salvation Army in Far North Queensland, Lt Darren Kingston, agreed yesterday’s event drew quite a crowd.
The show on Mulgrave Rd added to the general success of the Red Shield Appeal weekend, which managed to raise $50,000.
